worst USB ports you've ever used?

Post by motsdrama »

alright, i know this is a super specific question, but what's the worst USB port you've ever used? i'll start off with mine.

this is actually still a current issue, but the USB ports on the front of my computer suck so much. anything you plug into them is made worse by doing so. they make video quality worse, destroy microphone quality, make file transfer slower (or even stop it altogether) and generally just suck ass. they're also super loose too, one touch of whatever's in there and POOF, it's gone. there's two of them, and the one on the right is objectively worse. it'll be even SLOWER than the other one sometimes!

curious if anyone else has had an experience like this.

The front of my desktop's case has some USB ports that never work, just at all. I always think it's because I plug them in wrong but they just stink lol.

There was a USB port on one of my work computers that was completely rusted and anything that you plugged in would just get stuck. I nearly tore the connector off my keyboard one time trying to get it loose haha :D

On my old computer i had problems with the right side usb port for some reason. It wouldn't stay connected and i couldn't figure out why. On an unrelated note i have a flash drive somewhere that get this, jammed the wifi on my laptop. I don't know why.

o.O that's spooky, I wonder if it was causing attenuation bc of the internals not being properly separated from each other?? very weird lolz

It might've been that but it doesn't happen anymore so i think my drivers were just buggy. I know that the time battery came unstuck so i wouldn't be surprised if this thing had poor shielding :P
